This program feeds directly into our housing revitalization strategy. At this time, the foundation is focusing on the central part of town – MacArthur Street, due East to Main Street – which encompasses the heart of the town surrounding William Lynch Elementary School. Working with the City of Salem and the Salem R-80 Construction Trades Program, the foundation is acquiring properties in this area that are slated for demolition; structurally sound houses that may need renovation; and houses that are move-in ready. Program Rules and Regulations

1. Our rental homes are for TEACHERS only. You must have a current teaching contract to be eligible for one of the rental units.

2. Contracts run from July 1 - July 1. If you do not renew your teaching contract or you are not offered a renewal for the next school year, you must vacate the property by 15 June.

3. Rent is set per contract year and may change based on actual costs. Each house is different and will be calculated accordingly.
